After BJP leader Tejasvi Surya and Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay targeted Asaduddin Owaisi, the MIM President has hit out at the saffron party and accused it of sowing divisions in Hyderabad. Addressing a rally ahead of the GHMC polls, Owaisi alleged that walls of division are being raised by the BJP.
"We have to stand together. We should forget small differences that exist between us," the MIM President told the rally on Tuesday.
He found fault with the BJP's suggestion that Hyderabad should be renamed Bhagya Nagar. "A fight between those who want to rename the city and those who want to retain its identity is there," he said, adding that the city's hospitable vibes have to be preserved.
Earlier in the day, Bandi Sanjay thundered at a rally that the Old City should be freed from Pakistanis, Afghanistanis and Rohingyas who have been living illegally.
