Singer Chinmayi has been waging a battle against lyricist Vairamuthu, alleging that he had sexually abused many women, and after she took forward the Me Too movement, she was removed from the dubbing union by its leader Radha Ravi.

Recently, a BJP member had stated that none of the media will report about Vairamuthu due to his political influence and DMK power. However, Chinmayi has answered him that DMK supports Vairamuthu and similarly BJP supports Radharavi and has questioned how both the parties are different.
