Prakash Raj's defeat in the MAA elections has made at least one political party extremely delighted. It's the Telangana state unit of the BJP. BJP State President Bandi Sanjay Kumar, soon after the results were declared on Sunday, not only congratulated Manchu Vishnu but also thanked MAA's voters for showing the door to Prakash Raj.
Without mentioning Prakash Raj's name, Bandi Sanjay said that he is pro-Tukde Tukde Gang. For the unversed, the term 'Tukde Tukde Gang' has been used since 2016 to refer to radical Leftists who called for the breaking up of India into several provinces at a cultural event in the JNU. Prakash Raj has, in the past, said that he doesn't endorse the radical ideology. However, he has personally extended his sympathies to former JNU student leaders Kanhaiya Kumar and Shehla Rashid, who are accused of promoting the anti-India narrative over Kashmir.
Bandi Sanjay's pro-Vishnu stance, too, has a reason. Vishnu is a self-confessed Hindutva sympathizer. In the run up to the MAA elections, he even reminded people of Prakash Raj's unsavoury remarks about Ram Leela in 2019.
