Sushant Singh Rajput inspired Vijay’s Bigil Rayappan role!

Bollywood hero Sushant Singh Rajput, known for hit movies like MS Dhoni the Untold story, Kai Po Che, PK, Chhichhore etc had died by suicide on June 14, and it was said that the actor had taken the extreme decision due to depression.

Now, producer Archana Kalpathi of AGS Entertainment has revealed an interesting connection between Sushant Singh Rajput and Vijay starrer Bigil directed by Atlee, which was released in 2019 Diwali and had Vijay playing dual roles as father and son.

Archana Kalpathi, in a recent interview said that, initially Atlee and team wanted to cast a senior actor for the father role Rayappan, but after a Mumbai based cosmetologist Preethi Sri showed them photos of Sushant Singh Rajput from Chhichhore where he had an old look, the team was impressed. It was later decided by Atlee and team to make Vijay himself play the father Rayappan role with old look.
