Bharat Biotech sets out to develop vaccine for COVID-19

Hyderabad-based pharma company Bharat Biotech has set out to develop a vaccine for COVID-19.  This is being done in collaboration with University of Wisconsin-Madison and FluGen.  “We are proud to announce the development and testing of a vaccine for Coronavirus, named Coro Flu,” the company has said.

It will be a one-drop nasal vaccine built on a flu vaccine backbone.  “It will built on the backbone of FluGen’s flu vaccine candidate known as M2SR.” the company added.

KTR, the Telangana Minister, has tweeted out wishing the company the best.  “My best wishes to our own Hyderabad Biotech company as they strive to develop a vaccine #CoroFlu for #CoronaVirus prevention.  Good luck in your endeavour CMD Dr. Krishna Ella and team. Wish you all success,” he tweeted out.
