BhadraKali: Actresses Thripti Ravindra and Riya Jithu Share Insights

After the success of Margan, actor Vijay Antony is back with another powerful project, BhadraKali. Directed by Arun Prabhu and produced by Ram Anjaneyulu Juvvaji under Servant Ram Creations, the film is presented by Vijay Antony Film Corporation and Meera Vijay Antony. With its promotional content already receiving a strong response, the film is gearing up for a grand release on September 19.

At a recent press meet, leading ladies Thripti Ravindra and Riya Jithu shared their experiences of working on the film.

Thripti Ravindra on her debut journey

Thripti, who hails from Maharashtra, revealed that BhadraKali marks her debut as a heroine in Tamil cinema.

“Before entering films, I worked as a software engineer, but my passion for cinema started during my engineering days. I gave auditions for theatre plays and later for films. Acting in front of the camera brings me immense joy, and I also worked in a few commercials before this film.

I got a call from Arun sir’s team for auditions. After a look test, I was finalized for this role. My character in the film is very relatable — something the audience will definitely connect with. The director has designed it beautifully. Shooting this film has been a wonderful experience. Vijay sir was amazing to work with, and the entire team, including the director and producer, gave me great support. Telugu audiences celebrate all kinds of films, and I hope BhadraKali gives them a memorable experience.”

Riya Jithu on her comeback

Riya Jithu, who has worked as a child artist in around 15 films, spoke about her journey back to cinema:

“I am a Malayali, and I grew up watching Tamil and Malayalam films. After acting as a child artist, I took a break to focus on my studies. Now I’m back in films, and being part of Vijay Antony sir’s 25th film is truly special. I grew up listening to his music, and I admire it a lot.

In BhadraKali, I play a very different character — though I can’t reveal much right now. Vijay sir is such a humble person, and I’ve learned a lot from him. Director Arun sir is a filmmaker with great clarity, and he gave us so much confidence throughout the shoot. The producers made this film without any compromises.

This is a very impactful story, one that society needs. I strongly believe it will resonate with the audience. Telugu viewers have always supported meaningful cinema, and I’m sure BhadraKali will also connect with them.”

With its gripping content and strong performances, BhadraKali is expected to deliver a different yet impactful cinematic experience for audiences.
