Official: Banita Sandhu to romance hero’s son

It’s known that ‘Arjun Reddy’ is being remade in Tamil.  It stars Dhruv Vikram, son of ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram, as the hero.  

The news is that Bollywood diva Banita Sandhu of ‘October’ fame has been roped in as the heroine.  She will step into Shalini Pandey’s shoes.  

Although the lead pair has been finalized, the makers are yet to reveal the name of the director who is helming the remake.  Unconfirmed reports say that a protege of Sandeep Reddy Vanga (the director of the original) will direct the remake.  

This is the second time that the Tamil remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’ is happening.  The first remake was scrapped recently because the producer didn’t like director Bala’s work.  This is one of the rarest times that an entire film is being reshot.
