Producer Bandla Ganesh, who has been sentenced to a term of 6 months in jail and a fine of about Rs. 16 lacs in relation to the payment due to be received by Vakkantham Vamsi, the story-writer of 'Temper', has opened up on the issue.

Taking to Twitter, he says, "I had bought from Vamsi the story rights of 'Temper' for Rs. 1.04 Cr. After the film became a hit, the composite rights of the film were sold off to Rohith Shetty once and for all. However, when he wanted to turn the story of 'Temper' into a novel, Vamsi sold off the rights to someone else without my notice. This did hurt me. I immediately took up the issue to the Film Chamber. It's then that I put a 'stop payment' on the cheque for the balance amount that I had to pay Vamsi."

Ganesh further claims, "Even as the complaint has been looked into by the Chamber, Vamsi moved the court after the payment was stopped. Since I didn't respond in time, the verdict came against me. As soon as I came to know about it, I applied for a bail. I will not stop at this. I am going to appeal to a higher court and continue my legal battle against Vamsi."

Not stopping at this, Ganesh tries to hint that Vamsi's contribution in making 'Temper' a hit can't be overestimated. "I and my unit know who is the individual (referring to Puri Jagannadh) who elaborated the story and wrote excellent dialogues. Vamsi's conscience, too, must know this."

"I have paid crores of rupees to actors, directors and technicians in the past. Why wouldn't I be ready to pay Rs. 9 lacs? I hope my fans and well-wishers will understand this," he signs off.
