‘BAN’ run-time proves Koratala is consistent

Koratala Siva has always gone in for a long run-time.  ’Mirchi’, ‘Srimanthudu’ and ‘Janatha Garage’ were all long by today’s standards.  Before the release of ‘JG’, which had a run-time of 2:38 mins, the director had actually said that 10 more mins of content will be added a week after the movie’s release. 

The talented director believes that big films need such running time to tell the story.  The long run-time only goes to show that the film has a strong storyline.  

What about ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’?  It is 2 hrs 53 minutes long.  Isn’t it too lengthy?  ”Hasn’t ‘Rangasthalam’, which is longer, become a blockbuster?  At 173 minutes, our film actually passes off without making the audience conscious about the length,” says producer DVV Danayya.  

Certified with U/A, it had no cuts proposed by Censor Board.  Starring Mahesh Babu and Kiara Advani, it will hit the screens on April 20.
