Speaking to a news agency, Koratala Siva has suggested that he is very much open to the idea of making a sequel to ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’. ”The story of Chief Minister Bharat is too relevant and too pervasive to be forsaken. The country needs a political change. Bharat represents that change,” he feels.
It may be recalled that Mahesh Babu felt that the story deserved to be told as a two-part series. ”We had to omit a number of excellent scenes. It would have been great had they been there. Had all the scenes that our director conceived been there, ‘BAN’ would have had one more part,” the superstar had said before the film’s release.
It is, therefore, not surprising that Koratala is inclined towards mooting a sequel to ‘BAN’ even though he doesn’t like to make sequels/remakes on principle.
