It seems songs in ‘Balagam’ are about emotions more than music and dances. The Mangli-rendered ‘Ooru Palletooru’ had so much depth in terms of the emotions it sought to evoke. Ram Miryala’s music added to the experience.
And now, there is this Bheems Ceciroleo composition titled ‘Balarama Narsayyo. Sung by the composer with Tillu Venu, its lyrics by Kasarla Shyam celebrate a well-lived life that has faded into oblivion due to death. In rural cultures, death rituals become performative, with friends and neighbours doing their best to bid a bittersweet farewell to the deceased soul. ‘Balarama Narsayyo’ philosophically talks about death as a form of spiritual and mental recess for an individual who has been tired out by decades of existence.
Starring Priyadarshi and actress Kavya Kalyanram (‘Masooda’ fame), the film will hit the screens on March 3.
Dil Raju Productions’ Harshith Reddy and Hanshitha Reddy are going to hold pre-release screenings in different towns. Directed by Venu Yeldandi, its story takes place in Telangana’s Siricilla. With the cinematography done by Acharya Venu, the film has been edited by Madhu.
