The news of Suriya and Bala teaming up for ‘Vanangan’ after several years, raised high expectations among fans when it was announced a couple of years back. The shooting started with a grand pooja and was going on at a brisk pace in the coastal areas of Kanyakumari and the Indian Ocean. Krithi Shetty making her debut in Tamil cinema and Suriya playing a dual role apart from producing were the major highlights.
However creative differences cropped between Suriya and his mentor Bala who gave him two big breaks in his career in the form of ‘Nandaa’ and ‘Pitha Magan’. The two celebrities then decided to part ways amicably after shooting for 40 days. Bala announced that he will continue to make ‘Vanangaan’ individually.
As reported to you by us much earlier Arun Vijay has replaced Suriya in ‘Vanangaan’ while G.V. Prakash Kumar has been retained as the music director. The film will go on floors afresh in Kanyakumari from March 9th and will go on for one month wrapping up a major portion. The heroine and details of the rest of the cast and crew will be out soon.
