AV Raju offers apologies to Trisha in a self explanatory video after his slander

Former AIADMK member AV Raju’s slanderous statement linking actress Trisha to an ex-MLA caught the internet on fire. After being expelled from the party a few days ago, Raju opened up about the events that happened in the Koovathur resort in 2017 to capture the power in the party.

During which, Raju mentioned that an MLA at that time wanted Trisha there and it was fulfilled by the then Chief Minister. The film fraternity and fans erupted against Raju’s demeaning statement in support of Trisha. The actress responded that she is going to handle this legally. Also, the FEFSI organisation condemned AV Raju.

Following this backlash, AV Raju offered his apologies to Trisha this evening in an interaction with the press. He also claimed that his speech was misinterpreted by the media saying, “I said about a woman who looks like actress Trisha and not actress Trisha. I apologise to everyone in the film industry including Trisha.” We have to wait for a response from Trisha.
