Ashok Galla’s family refutes ‘arrest from pub’ rumour

A high-profile pub was raided by a special team earlier today in Hyderabad. A rumour went out that, out of the 150 people who were detained in the raid, budding Tollywood actor Ashok Galla is one of them.

The family of the actor has refuted the gossip, requesting the media to desist from spreading fake news. “Some media reports have been mentioning Ashok’s name in their reports. Ashok has nothing to do with the affair. We request the media to refrain from publishing unverified news,” the family said in a statement. Usually, celeb families are the most affected when baseless gossip is paraded as the truth by the media. Due diligence is thrown to the winds while reporting on sensational cases.

Ashok’s father, Jaydev Galla, is a TDP MP. His mother, Padmavathi Galla, turned into a producer with his first movie ‘Hero’, which was released in theatres on January 15. The crime comedy, directed by Sriram Adittya, became a decent performer.
