Days after a violent clash in Galwan on June 15-16, an impression is gaining ground that China has got secretive plans. There is a feeling that disengagement is an eyewash and that the People's Liberation Army may actually be preparing for a war with India.
On Wednesday, India Today reported that the PLA is mobilizing in parts of eastern Ladakh. As per the report, this "could open a fresh front in Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) and Depsang Sectors".
More and more evidence, based on satellite imagery and ground reports, suggests that China may not be fair and square.
While what China may or may not do is not in India's hands, what our Army is capable of is important. Speaking to India Today, this is what ex-Army chief General Deepak Kapoor has said. "With trust at the lowest level, there is a very real possibility of a border skirmish, especially in Pangong Tso. But the Indian Army is fully prepared."
The Army heroically rose up to the occasion on June 15-16. It will do again!
