Director Santhosh Jayakumar, known for his adult comedy entertainers Hara Hara Mahadevaki, Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu and the comedy flick Ghajinikanth, had last directed the Telugu remake of Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu, which was moderately successful.

Following this the director had announced a movie named Theemaidhaan Vellum starring Gautham Karthik and produced by Studio Green but the movie however did not take off as expected, reportedly due to some issues between the maker and the production house.

Today the director's next movie has been launched, and this yet to be titled project will have Arvind Swami playing lead role, and produced by V Mathiyalagan of Etcetera Entertainment. This movie will have music by D Imman, and cinematography by Ballu.
