With his father being a producer, it was quite natural that Arvind Krishna aspired to venture into films, but it was a surprise that he didn't want to follow his father's footsteps and continue production, and chose cinematography instead.

After interning with the legendary PC Sreeram for close to 6 years, while also making appearances on screen in his direction venture Kuruthipunal, sharing screen space with the epitome of acting Kamal Haasan himself, Arvind went on to work in ad films and TV commercials, before finally venturing into the world of feature films.

Making his debut as a cinematographer with the coming of age flick Thulluvatho Ilamai, the debut film of Dhanush and Selvaraghavan as well, Arvind Krishna developed a bond with Selvaraghavan, and their combo weaved magic on screen with their upcoming flicks. The way Arvind captured Vinoth's dark past, his secret life unknown to Divya, the love, the pain and the emotionally influenced state of the central character of Selva's Kaadhal Konden got him good attention.

And then followed two more films with Selvaraghavan - 7G Rainbow Colony and Pudhupettai. With the former known for Arvind's part in presenting the slice of life moments, the love and the impact Anitha leaves on Kathir's life, Pudhupettai was a milestone in his career. The life of the vulnerable lad Kumar, transforming into a ruthless gangster and a selfish politician was effectively delivered by Selvaraghavan, thanks to Arvind Krishna's unique work. With varied colour tones used in different phases of Kokki Kumar's life (for instance, the fluroscent tone when he's imprisoned and vents out his fear, emotions and the addiction for power that took him there), Arvind Krishna elevated Pudhupettai to a whole new level.

Arvind Krishna went on to collaborate with established directors like Gautham Vasudev Menon in Pachaikili Muthucharam, P Vasu in Kuselan, while also continuing to work with rising talents like Thiru, AL Vijay and Ahmed, and impressed constantly with his commendable work.

With several interesting projects in the pipeline including the most awaited reunion of the celebrated combo Selvaraghavan - Arvind Krishna- Yuvan Shankar Raja after a while, besides plans to produce several exciting projects as well, Arvind Krishna is all set to surprise movie buffs in the coming days as well, with his creative skills.

Wishing the visual magician Arvind Krishna a happy birthday!
