Why Udhayanidhi skipped Arulnidhi’s engagement?

Udhayanidhi Stalin and Arulnidhi are cousins. But the former was not seen at the engagement of the latter, which took place in Chennai recently.

Explaining the reason behind his absence, the actor-producer says, "I was away in Cochin for shoot. So I could not attend Arulnidhi's engagement. But recently, we had a get-together with the bride's family at Thalaivar's (DMK president M Karunanidhi) Gopalapuram residence."

On his relationship with his other cousin Dayanidhi Alagiri, Udhayanidhi says, "We are very cordial and he even wished me on my birthday. But I think the closeness between us has slightly come down of late. I am sure things will change over a period of time."
