Legendary multiple Oscar award winning Music director AR Rahman has been celebrated for his scintillating music spanning decades and making magic with his music in almost all languages of the country besides winning Hollywood as well.
The legend had scored music for the movie Delhi 6 in 2009, and Masakali was one of the chartbuster numbers from the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directed movie starring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor. Yesterday, Tips music company had released a remix version of the song Masakali 2.0 and this music video featuring Siddharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria received poor reviews from music lovers.
As someone who's not for such remixes, AR Rahman who is not pleased with this latest remix as well, has sarcastically tweeted urging fans to support the original Masakali, as he tweeted "No short cuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 365 days of creative brainstorming with the aim to produce music that can last generations.
A team of a Director, a Composer and a Lyricist supported by actors, dance directors and a relentless film crew. Lots of love and prayers - A.R. Rahman”. The tweet has received support from fans as well as music directors like Thaman and Anirudh.
