‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ audio launch: The big ticket event officially announced with a new poster of AR Rahman!

Indiaglitz broke to you first that the Ponniyin Selvan 2 songs and trailer will be launched in a lavish event in Chennai on March 29. While the movie team officially announced the trailer release yesterday, they have made the announcement about the grand music launch event. 

Sharing a fabulous poster featuring Isai Puyal AR Rahman, Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies wrote, “The #MozartOfMadras is coming to transport us back to the 10th century with the music of #PS2! A spell-binding musical storm is on its way! 29th March – Mark your calendars! #CholasAreBack” (sic). The Ponniyin Selvan 2 audio and trailer launch ceremony will happen at Nehru Indoor Stadium on Wednesday evening. 

Ponniyin Selvan, the two-part film franchise, is based on author Kalki’s epic novel of the same name. Legendary director Mani Ratnam achieved his long-time dream by helming this saga. The story of PS is about the civil war inside the Chola dynasty for the throne and the conspiracy by Pandyas to avenge the Cholas, set around the 10th century. 

Ponniyin Selvan 2’s ensemble cast comprises Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Ashwin, Mohan Ram, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vikram Prabhu and others. The technical team includes music by AR Rahman, DOP by Ravi Varman, editing by Sreekar Prasad and art direction by Thota Tharrani.
