AR Rahman makes Andhra woman an Internet star

A few months back, Rakesh Unni, a tea plantation worker from Kerala sang a song from ‘Vishwaroopam’ and the video went viral.  The guy, a farmer, won laurels from singer Shankar Mahadevan and Universal Star Kamal Haasan himself.

Now, legendary music director AR Rahman has shared the video of a middle-aged woman singing his song ‘O Cheliya’ from the movie ‘Premikudu’.

“Unknown…Anonymous…Beautiful voice,” the ‘2.0’ musician said, leaving it to his followers to enjoy her voice.

The woman is Baby and she hails from Vadisaleru village in Andhra Pradesh.  After her video hit a million views on YouTube within a few hours, she has got a chance to sing in a Telugu movie.  She is surely an Internet star for now.
