Director Ram's 'Taramani' released after a long delay on August 11, 2017 but the film has performed way beyond expectations thanks to the extremely positive reviews from critics and positive word of mouth generated by the public. The Andrea starrer has completed its second successful week in Chennai Box office with very good occupancy and collection.
As 'Vivegam' is scheduled to hit the screens on August 24, there is no new Tamil release last weekend. Hence 'Taramani' is the most favoured one among the Tamil movie buffs. The film was screened in 19 screens (the numbers increased due to positive VOM) and had 181 shows in three days. With this the film has collected Rs.30,22,957 and the total collection in Chennai has exceeded Rs.1 crore (Rs.1,04,74,393). The film has been holding very well in the box office.
The success of 'Taramani' proves yet again that content is the King and only that decides the fate of a film in the box office. .
