Andhra Pradesh Moving at the Speed of Innovation: Chandrababu Naidu at CII Summit 2026

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu delivered a visionary keynote address at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Annual Business Summit 2026, outlining India’s transformation into a global economic powerhouse driven by technology, innovation, and sustainability.

Addressing industrialists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers at the summit, Naidu said the future global economy will be shaped not merely by capital, but by “knowledge, technology, trust, and speed.” Praising CII for its role in India’s industrial growth over the decades, he recalled his long-standing three-decade association with the organization.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister remarked that India is currently witnessing a historic phase comparable to the economic reforms era of the 1990s. However, he noted that the next wave of transformation will be powered by cutting-edge sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and intelligent logistics.

Naidu credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing stable leadership and initiating reforms that are reshaping India’s economic future.

Highlighting the importance of sustainability and self-reliance, Naidu stressed the need for energy conservation, renewable energy adoption, public transportation, natural farming, and decentralized power generation. He advocated for every household, factory, and commercial establishment to become both a producer and consumer of energy through rooftop solar systems and microgrids.

Speaking about the state’s long-term vision under the “Swarnandhra Pradesh” initiative, Naidu stated that Andhra Pradesh aims to build a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047. He also expressed confidence that India would emerge as the world’s second-largest economy by 2038 and eventually become the number one economy by 2047.

The Chief Minister revealed that Andhra Pradesh has attracted investments worth ₹23 lakh crore over the last 23 months, creating nearly 23 lakh employment opportunities. He further announced that the state plans to contribute 160 GW towards India’s ambitious 500 GW renewable energy target.

Highlighting key investments entering the state, Naidu said Google’s proposed AI data center project in Visakhapatnam, valued at $15 billion, ranks among the biggest foreign investments in post-reforms India. He added that major companies including Google, Reliance Industries, Cognizant, Carrier Global, Renew, and AM Green are partnering with Andhra Pradesh across renewable energy and technology sectors.

Concluding his address, Naidu asserted that Andhra Pradesh has evolved beyond “Ease of Doing Business” and is now focused on “Speed of Doing Business.” He highlighted that governance services are increasingly being delivered digitally through the state’s Mana Mitra WhatsApp platform, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a technology-driven governance model for the future.
