Amitabh Bachchan Pays INR 120 Crore in Taxes Boosting Economy

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan continues to act even at the age of 82. He played a role in Rajinikanth’s Tamil movie ‘Vettaiyan’. Apart from movies and advertisements, he also hosts the television show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.

In the financial year 2024-25, Amitabh Bachchan has earned an income of ?350 crore. For this, he has paid ?120 crore as income tax to the government, making him the highest taxpaying celebrity this year.

Last year, Shah Rukh Khan was the highest taxpayer, contributing ?92 crore in taxes. However, in 2024, Amitabh Bachchan has surpassed him. Additionally, other actors like Vijay have paid ?80 crore in taxes, while Salman Khan has contributed ?75 crore.
