American singer Britney Spears finally gets engaged with her long time boyfriend!

Famous American singer and dancer Britney Spears, who is referred to as ‘Princess of Pop’, is now engaged to her long-time boyfriend, actor and fitness enthusiast Sam Asghari. She made the engagement announcement with an adorable video on Instagram.

The news comes days after Britney’s father filed to end the court conservatorship that has controlled the singer’s life and money for 13 years. The singer told a judge in June she wanted to marry Asghari and have a baby with him during an impassioned plea to end the conservatorship.

During conservatorship, Spears can get married legally, but the guardian must approve it. But now, Spears’ father freed her from 13 years of conservatorship and she can marry and have kids freely. The 39-year-old singer was previously married to Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two sons and was briefly married to childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004.

In the Instagram video, she shows off the ring before being asked by Sam: “Do you like it?” An ecstatic Britney says: “Yes!” She wrote in her post, “I can’t f**king believe it!!!!!!” Meanwhile, Sam Asghari shared a close-up shot of the engagement ring on his Instagram page. The four-carat diamond ring is engraved with the word “lioness” because it’s his nickname for her.
