This 2011 American film foresaw the Coronavirus pandemic!

Released in 2011, the American flick Contagion is now witnessing a huge number of downloads and views, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. And the reason?  Before 9 years, the movie presented the exact scenario we’re facing today with the coronavirus outbreak, as the movie speaks of a virus that spreads from China, and the infection’s root cause being bats as well.

Contagion which was directed by Stephen Soderbergh and written by Scott Z Burns revolves around a fictional illness that kills 26 million people worldwide. It has been announced by Warner Bros that Contagion is now the second most demanded movie just behind the Harry Potter franchise.

Contagion has been widely watched, as it predicted and presented exact moments which are witnessed by people now. The movie has an instance when health officials discuss the facts about the novel virus and it is said found that the virus spreads through coughing and sneezing, and the particles which reach surfaces can then transmit the virus when people come in contact and later touch their faces.When a character asks who is susceptible, a health official responds that it happens to be everyone with hands, a mouth and a nose.

Contagion stars Kate Winslet, Matt Damon, Marion Cotillard and Gwyneth Paltrow and has now become one of the most popular films on Amazon Prime and Google Play.
