Amala Akkineni Breaks Silence on Nagarjuna?Tabu Link-Up Rumours

Back in the 1990s, South superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni found himself at the center of a media storm when reports of an alleged relationship with Bollywood actress Tabu began making rounds. While the Kuberaa actor was already married to actress Amala at the time, the link-up buzz with his Sisindri co-star became a hot topic of gossip for years.

Now, decades later, Amala Akkineni finally addressed those rumours in an earlier interview with The Times of India, putting all speculation to rest. Standing by her husband, she dismissed the chatter as baseless and refused to let it affect their family.

“My home is sacred, like a temple, and I don’t allow anything unpleasant from the film industry to come in, especially filthy gossip. I don’t encourage such talks. I feel it will contaminate my house,” Amala said firmly.

She also clarified her own relationship with Tabu, revealing a cordial and longstanding bond. Amala shared that Tabu is one of the very few people from Mumbai she remains in contact with and even hosts her during visits to Hyderabad.

“Tabu is one of the persons, besides Danny Denzongpa, my Rakhi brother, from Mumbai who I am in touch with. And, yes, she stays with us when she comes here,” Amala stated.

The Akkineni couple, known for their graceful presence both on and off-screen, recently celebrated 33 years of marital bliss on June 11. The family was also in the spotlight recently during the wedding festivities of their son, Akhil Akkineni, who tied the knot with Zainab Ravdjee in an intimate ceremony. The joyous occasion was captured in a series of heartwarming images shared across social media.
