Allu Arjun’s flop film going great guns in Hindi belt with re-release

Allu Arjun’s 2018 action movie ‘Naa Peru Surya’ has been dubbed into Hindi and released as ‘Surya The Soldier’ in theatres in the post-lockdown phase. It’s a re-release. The news is that the version has garnered very good numbers, trumping all the straight Hindi movies in the race.

“The film re-released in the Hindi belt after the cinemas reopened. And it’s doing better (almost double) than any new and repeat run Hindi releases,” says Atul Mohan, a box-office tracker. 

An exhibitor noted that the Vakkantham Vamsi directorial has done terrific business in Bihar. “It ran for two weeks in many cinemas,” he tweeted.

The film, also starring Anu Emmanuel, Arjun Sarja, Sarathkumar and others, had music by Vishal-Shekar.
