Akhanda 2: Samyuktha Reveals What It’s Like to Work With Balakrishna

The anticipation surrounding Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s massive divine-action entertainer Akhanda 2: Tandavam continues to skyrocket. Produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta, with M. Tejaswini Nandamuri presenting, the film is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on December 5, 2025 in both 2D and 3D formats. Music is composed by S. Thaman, who is reportedly delivering one of his most powerful background scores yet.

At a recent press interaction, the film’s leading lady shared interesting details about her role, working experience, and the scale of the project.

Highlights from the Samyuktha’s interaction:

On being one of the busiest actresses in Telugu cinema:

She said she feels grateful and chooses films based on strong content. Recent projects like Bimbisara, Virupaksha, Swayambhu and now Akhanda 2 came organically.

How she joined Akhanda 2:

Boyapati Sreenu narrated her role, and despite date clashes, she insisted on doing the film. The team adjusted schedules. She said Boyapati’s vision is “beyond imagination.”

About her character:

She plays a stylish and significant role with key sequences. She also performs a major mass song — something she has never attempted before. Intense rehearsals even led her to undergo physiotherapy, but she said she was determined to deliver her best.

Working with Balakrishna:

She described Balakrishna as friendly, disciplined, and extremely director-focused. She previously met him during an ad shoot and said he made her feel comfortable instantly.

On Balakrishna’s passion for Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital:

She praised his commitment and recalled how he invited her to a cancer awareness program during their first meeting.

Viral Vizag event memes:

She saw the viral memes, saved them all, and said both she and Balakrishna laughed about them.

Thaman’s music:

She said the songs are a tribute to Lord Shiva, with Sanskrit elements and a powerful score that enhances the film’s spiritual tone.

Favorite Balakrishna films:

Recently, she loved Bhagavanth Kesari (Daku Maharaj in some markets) and was impressed by how well it performed even in Kerala. She also enjoyed the first Akhanda.

On being cast often in mythological/spiritual films:

She said such roles naturally come her way and were never planned.

About the Telugu industry:

She praised Telugu audiences as “next level” for the way they celebrate films, especially on Day One.

Upcoming films:

She has key roles in Swayambhu, Nari Nari Naduma Murari, and an exciting project with director Puri Jagannadh.
