‘Akhanda 2’ Climax Wrapped Up; Balakrishna Confirms Dasara Release

Nandamuri Balakrishna has officially confirmed that Akhanda 2 will hit theatres during the Dasara holiday season, putting an end to speculation around the film’s release date. Speaking to the media at an event in Eluru, the veteran actor assured fans that there would be no changes in the schedule, with the film set for a September release as previously announced.

Balakrishna revealed that the climax portion of the film has already been wrapped up. “Samyuktha and I recently returned from Georgia after completing the climax shoot. Akhanda 2 is shaping up really well and will meet audience expectations. The teaser has received a tremendous response,” he said.

Directed by Boyapati Srinu, Akhanda 2 is a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda and features Balakrishna in a powerful dual role once again. The film stars Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead, while actress Samyuktha plays a significant role. Music is composed by Thaman, who also scored the chart-topping soundtrack for the first film.

While the teaser for Akhanda 2 sparked mixed reactions, it quickly amassed massive views online, signaling strong anticipation. The film is set to be released in five languages, marking Balakrishna’s foray into the pan-India space.
