Ajith film to compete with ‘Baahubali 2’

The Thala Ajith fans are getting ready to celebrate the star's birthday falling this Monday (May 1, 2017). And this year many theater owners have planned to cash in on the Ajith fan frenzy on that day. Many theaters in Tamil Nadu have planned special screenings of Ajith starrers on his birthday and tickets for the same are getting sold like hot cakes. 

Now it has been confirmed that Ajith's 1999 blockbuster 'Amarkkalam' the film which established Ajith as an action hero will be re-released in a digitally remastered version. Paper ads have appeared today confirming the release of the film in theaters across Tamil Nadu. 

It is to be noted that the film will be hitting the screens on April 28 ,2017 the Friday before Ajith's birthday. On the same day 'Baahubali 2' is releasing in more than 6500 screens across India and only small budget films are getting released along with 'Baahubali 2' in all languages. At this time Ajith's old film is coming to the screens in a new format and we guess Ajith fans will give prominence to their Thala film despite it being a old film.
