Ajith-Vijay combo movie made official by blockbuster hit director’s dad – Is it possible?

Tamil cinema fans right from the new millenium would love to watch the two superstars Ajith and Vijay together in one movie.  Though they did work together in ‘Rajavin Paarvaiyil’ during their formative years now their stature is grown to unimaginable heights.

Over time, several directors have expressed their wish to director the Ajith-Vijay combo but nothing has worked out.  Venkat Prabhu on the other hand has revealed that after the blockbuster hit of ‘Mankatha’, Vijay told him that he would have gladly done Arjun’s role in the film if he was approached.  He even shared that he has a script ready for the two charismatic stars which could be ‘Mankatha 2’.

Ever since then, VP is seen as the filmmaker who could pull off one of the biggest casting coups in Tamil cinema history.  Meanwhile his multitalented dad Gangai Amaran in a recent press meet revealed that VP is ready with the Ajith-Vijay combo script that will be a pan Indian movie and talks are on with both the superstars.  He even went to the extent of saying that the official announcement will come soon.

Social media went abuzz with the news but Venkat Prahbu has posted a Gif with a shocked expression on his Twitter page.  It is unknown whether he is taken aback by his dad speaking too early or whether the news itself is false.  We will have to wait for the clarficiation.
