Ajith Kumar grieves Captain Vijayakanth’s demise from Dubai – Details

Ajith Kumar is currently shooting for his upcoming film ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ in Dubai. As he couldn’t be in Chennai for Captain Vijayakanth’s funeral today, it has been reported that the actor contacted Vijayakanth’s family through a phone call and expressed his condolences. 

Vijayakanth, Tamil cinema’s Puratchi Kalaignar and Captain and founder of DMDK, passed away due to health issues in Chennai yesterday. The film fraternity including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Vijay came in person and paid their last respects to the veteran. Ajith Kumar, who is in Dubai, couldn’t reach Chennai and expressed his condolences via phone call.

Reportedly, Ajith Kumar conveyed his condolences on the phone to Premalatha Vijayakanth over the passing away of Captain Vijayakanth. AK said that he was not in a position to attend the funeral as he was in Dubai for the shooting and apologised for the same. This news is doing rounds on the internet now.
