Actress Kaniha, who had made her debut in Tamil cinema in Maniratnam production Five star, went on to act in numerous movies in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam including Ajith’s triple action entertainer Varalaru directed by KS Ravikumar.
Last seen in a cameo in Maniratnam’s O Kaadhal Kanmani, Kaniha is making a comeback to Tamil cinema with the movie Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roganth and produced by Chandaraa arts.
Kaniha has revealed in a recent interview that she’s playing the role of a Sri Lankan refugee in Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir and that she’ll be having dialogues in Sri Lankan Tamil, which she’ll dub soon. The movie has Vijay Sethupathi playing a musician and has Megha Akash paired with him besides directors Magizh Thirumeni and Mohan Raja in important roles.
