AIADMK Govt. has no courage/honesty to face criticism: Kamal Haasan

Actor-politician and ‘Makkal Needhi Maiyyam’ (MNM) convener Kamal Haasan has taken the ruling AIADMK regime led by Edapadi K. Palaniswami to task by stating that the incumbent Govt. neither had the courage nor honesty to face criticism.

Kamal has referred to a Twitter post in firing his latest salvo against the ruling AIADMK.  The tweet has recorded that the Govt. had been consciously taking those television channels, which had been airing interviews of opposition party leaders critical of the Government, off the ambit of the Govt. controlled ‘Arasu Cable’ thus depriving people of the opportunity of watching those television channels.

It also said that in view of this, some television channels were ‘forced to’ beam live programmes/events in which the chief-minister was taking part.  In his latest tweet on his ever-active Twitter account, Kamal said  ”A Govt. which has neither the courage nor the honesty to face criticism can’t exist in real life or history.  It’s one of the prerogatives of MNM to change the disgusting state of such politics,” he said.

It may be recalled that Kamal had been indulging in severe criticism of the Govt. for the past many months and had also criticized the State for not taking up the issue of setting up the Cauvery Management Board with the Centre strongly enough.
