Actor Mirchi Shiva had last acted in Thamizh Padam 2.0, the sequel to his 2010 hit Thamizh Padam and this spoof movie directed by CS Amuthan and co-starring Iswarya Menon and Sathish turned out to be a commercial success. Almost after an year, Shiva is ready with his next movie.

Agila Ulaga Superstar, as he has been called by fans will be seen next in the movie Sumo which is directed by SP Hosimin, who had previously directed February 14 starring Bharath and Aayiram Vilakku with Sathyaraj and Shanthanu, and this movie which also has screenplay by Shiva is produced by Vels Film International.

It has been now announced that Sumo will be released on December 25, as Christmas special. Sumo has Priya Anand as the female lead and a sumo wrestler Yoshinori Tashiro has also acted in the movie, Nivas K Prasanna has composed music for Sumo and Rajiv Menon is the cinematographer.
