Aggressive masturbation leaves Swiss man in ICU

Masturbation has led to medical incidents in different parts of the world from time to time. Just this year, a middle-aged man in Brazil had to be rushed to the hospital after he reportedly forced a 4.4-pound metal dumbbell up his anus while masturbating. In other news, an Indonesian national got a 6-foot-long string stuck in his penis during a botched sex game, NY Post reported. 

This time, a man from Switzerland, who is barely in his early 20s, ended up in an ICU due to a lung injury triggered by aggressive masturbation. Daily Mail reported that doctors diagnosed him with spontaneous pneumomediastinum. In SPM, air leaks from the lung can lead to health issues such as shortness of breath.

Medical emergencies are rarer due to masturbation compared to those triggered by aggressive sexual activities. 

There is a view that health incidents caused due to masturbation and sex have to be reported with sensitivity. A lot of reports make fun of the patient just because he or she was merely seeking pleasure.
