Mohanlal, Pa Ranjith and RJ Balaji films to clash on a holiday after Pongal!

Tamil cinema is getting ready for a mega clash on Pongal with Dhanush’s ‘Captain Miller’, Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Ayalaan’, Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Merry Christmas’ and Arun Vijay’s ‘Mission: Chapter 1’. Meanwhile, Chiyaan Vikram’s ‘Thangalaan’ was scheduled to hit the screens on Jan 26th, Republic Day.

We already brought to you that ‘Thangalaan’ was postponed to summer and the holiday weekend is available for other films. Now, the latest news is that several mid and low-budget movies are planning to release on 25th January. It was officially announced that RJ Balaji’s ‘Singapore Saloon’, directed by Gokul, is coming to cinemas on Jan 25.

Ashok Selvan today announced his new film, ‘Blue Star’, will be released on January 25. This film marks the first collaboration of Ashok Selvan and Keerthi Pandian. The two fell in love and got married a few months ago. This movie also stars Shanthnu, Dhivya Duraisamy and others with music by Govind Vasantha. It is produced by Pa Ranjith under Neelam Productions.

Sources also tell us that Arulnithi’s ‘Demonte Colony 2’ and GV Prakash’s ‘Rebel’ are aiming for the same weekend. We have to wait for an official announcement.
