Adivi Sesh has been waiting to complete the script of 'Goodachari 2', which he would have made immediately after 'Goodachari' but for 'Major'. Today, the actor gave an update on the much-awaited sequel.

"The core story of the movie is ready. I will recommence the work on it once 'Major' is finished. I will be dedicated to putting together a good script and screenplay for 'Goodachari 2' after 'Major' is complete," Sesh said, adding that the shooting of the film will start at the end of 2021 if everything goes well.

'Goodachari', which was released in 2018, was an action spy thriller that had Jagapathi Babu as the antagonist. Its music by Sricharan Pakala and cinematography by Shaneil Deo were highly lauded.

As for 'Major', it will probably hit the screens after September. Directed by Sashikiran Tikka, its teaser was out in April. Also featuring Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, Prakash Raj and Murali Sharma alongside Sobhita Dhulipala, the film will release in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. Co-produced by Mahesh Babu, 'Major' has music by Sricharan Pakala.
