‘Adipurush’ poster has folks guessing about Ram, Ravan, Hanuman!

The poster of ‘Adipurush’, the newly-minted film of Prabhas, has got the actor’s fans to speculate wildly on social media.  To be directed by Om Raut, the epic action drama is going to be based on the timeless story of the Ramayana.  

The poster’s design is in keeping with the film’s genre and subject.  A leading figure is seen holding a bow in the centre.  A figure resembling Lord Hanuman is attractively designed and makes His presence felt.  He is seen holding a ‘gada’, which may well mean that we are going to see an angry Hanuman in the 2022 release.

What about Ravana, the evil figure of the Ramayana?  He too is seen in the lower part of the big ‘A’ of the poster as a ten-headed villain.  

Well, who then are playing the different characters?  It’s speculated that the ‘Saaho’ star will be playing Ram in the movie.  If that is the case, Ravan will be played by a Bollywood star.  There is no hint so far as to who will be essaying the epic antagonist in ‘Adipurush’.

It will be interesting to see how Hanuman’s character will be designed and who will essay Him in the 3D multi-lingual.  Going by the track record of Bollywood, a hero with a non-star image will be chosen.  

The film will be made in Hindi and Telugu and dubbed into a number of south Indian and international languages.
