Actress Vijayalakshmi suicide attempt case – politician arrested

Actress Vijayalakshmi, who starred in a few films including ‘Friends’ with Vijay and Surya, attempted suicide in 2020 by consuming sleeping tablets.  She was admitted to a private hospital and recovered.

While the case was being investigated by the Thiruvanmiyur police, Vijayalakshmi accused that Seeman the leader of the Naam Tamilar Katchi, whom she claimed was in a relationship with her in the past had instigated  Hari Nadar, the co-ordinator of the Panangattu ​​Padai Katchi, to harass her and she was pushed to take the extreme step.

Police registered a case against Hari Nadar and since he is already lodged in the Parapana Agrahara Jail in Bangalore on a charge of money laundering, permission was sought from the Karnataka police for his arrest.   After go ahead from their counterparts the Chennai cops once again arrested Hari Nadar and have brought him back home.

Hari Nadar who created a sensation by wearing rupees four crores of jewels when contesting in an assembly election will be produced before the Saidapet court number 18 on January 20th.
