Samantha’s emotional message to her first hero

Samantha one of the most loved leading ladies in Tamil and Telugu cinema has maintained her career admirably for the past ten years.  While the norm is that when a heroine gets married she loses her fizz in the industry Sam proved it wrong by starring in a number of bold films after marriage including ‘Hey Baby’ ‘Mersal’ and ‘Super Deluxe’.

Samantha has wished her best buddy and first movie hero Rahul Ravindran on his birthday in a most loving way writing “Thankyou for being my light … this constant light of positivity that you always surround your people with … not many like you @23_rahulr  .. happy birthday my dear friend ..always proud that I can call you my dear frien.

Though Samantha’s films ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’, ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya’ and ‘Baana Kaathadi’ released first it was ‘Moscowin Kaveri’ in which she debuted as heroine.  The film directed by cinematographer Ravi Varman had Rahul Ravindran as the male lead and the duo have been the best of buddies for all these years.  Rahul’s wife Chinmayi Sripaada is also a close buddy of Sam and so is Naga Chaitanya with them.

Rahul Ravindran is now one of the most sought after actor-directors in Telugu cinema and is gearing up to direct his next biggie there with top stars.
