Actress Roja makes an important announcement about her daughter Anshumalika

The current two time Nagari constituency MLA Roja was one of the leading actresses in South Indian cinema during the nineties and early 2000s.  After more than a decade of dating she married veteran Tamil director R.K. Selvamani in 2000.  The couple have a daughter Anshumalika Selvamani and son Krishna Lohit Selvamani.

Anshumalika who is in her early twenties is already a published author, social activist and entreprenuer.  A few weeks back there were reports that she is debuting as an actress in a new movie starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead.  R.K. Selvamani denied the news as false.

Roja has now gone one step further with a clarification during her recent visit to Tirupathi.  She stated “I actually want my daughter to become a movie actress and If she agrees to it I myself will encourage her.  However my daughter has no desire to be a film actress. She aspires to become a scientist. So there is no chance for my Anshu to act in any movie hereafter”.
