Priya Bhavani Shankar is of the if not the busiest young leading ladies in Kollywood with more than a dozen current projects under her belt and counting, that include Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar and Simbu's 'Pathu Thala'.

Priya is known for her bold views on politics and gives a voice out to social causes as well. She congratulated the new Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin by addressing him as a leader chosen by the people after ten years. A social media trolled her by stating that no chief minister is selected by the people and it is the MLA's who do so.

Not one to back away from such potshots Priya replied in Tamil "For example, if you say please take your seat it doesn't mean take your chair in your hands likewise when I said the people chose Stalin I did not mean that the people sat around and played "inky pinky" and chose the leader.". She also quipped that she learnt this in sixth standard civics and asked the troll who is short of senses here.

Likewise, another Twitter user posted an image of Priya Bhavani Shankar's old tweet seeking the release of Thirumurugan Gandhi and asked her if she too is a sympathizer of the Dravidians. Priya shot back saying that this one cracked her up as she was a journalist for many years and it was her job and she asked the troll to search for more such posts in her timeline. Well, that's the fiery Priya Bhavanishankar for you.
