It is always sad when artistes pass away as they represent many facets of society through their work and more so when they meet an untimely end. Thirteen-year-old actress Laurel Griggs has passed away on November 5th and a service was held at Riverside Memorial Chapel in New York City on the 8th. The cause of death is unknown as of now.

The talented Laurel made her stage acting debut at age six with the famous broadway play 'Cat on the Hot Tin Roof' and later played Ivanka for a record seventeen months in 'Once'. She has also played a cute role in Woody Allen's film 'Cafe Society' co-starring with Steve Carell and Jesse Eisenberg besides appearing in many episodes of Saturday Night Live (SNL).

Fellow child actress Eliza Holland Madore has posted a condolence on Instagram "I am deeply saddened by the sudden loss of one of my Ivanka sisters. Laurel- you were always smiling and always made other people laugh. I’m so incredibly grateful that I got to know you. You will never be forgotten, and we will never stop loving you. Everybody in the Once Family is going to keep you alive through us. R.I.P. My heart goes to her family."
