Dhanush’s reel sister is a professional cricketer – Exciting details

As usual, Dhanush has won all-around praise from critics and audiences for his powerful portrayal of a downtrodden man in ‘Karnan’ directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.  The film has also earned the distinction of being one of the biggest hits in Dhanush’s career as well.

Next to Dhanush the performance that caught the eye of one and all is that of Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli who played the character of his elder sister Padmini.  The interactions between both the actors are so natural that they easily passed off as siblings on screen.

Lakshmi Priyaa with a strong theater background gained widespread recognition through the short film ‘Lakshmi’ produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon and directed by Sarjun.  Her next film ‘Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum’ directed by Vasanth has also entered many international film festivals winning accolades and is expected to have a wide release soon.

The other side of Laksmi Priyaa Chandramouli is that she is a professional cricketer a teammate of Mithali Raj and has played for India B against West Indies in a series.  She is also a champion frisbee player.
