Vishal is among the few Tamil actors who take care of public welfare rather than just enjoying stardom. Fondly called ‘Puratchi Thalapathy’ by the fans, he does charitable and humanitarian activities with Vishal Makkal Nala Iyakkam, a people’s movement run by the actor’s fans club.
On November 6, Vishal Makkal Nala Iyakkam helped 11 poor couples to get married in Mathur, Chennai by taking up the wedding expenses. Vishal participated in the event and offered free talismans to each couple. He also presented the bride and groom with an array of 51 items.
In an interview after the ceremony, the actor also said that he will take care of the educational expenses of the couples’ children. Talking about his marriage, Vishal said, “The actor’s union building work has been going on for three years. It will be completed soon and I will get married once it is over. Surely, it will be a love marriage.”
