Popular comedy actor Theepetti Ganesan has passed away suddenly due to illness and director Seenu Ramaswamy has confirmed the same. Accordingly, Ganesan was admitted to the Rajaji Government Hospital in Madurai where he was being treated but unfortunately succumbed.
Theepetti Ganesan is best known for playing the comedic parallel lead in the sleeper hit 2009 film ‘Renigunta’ and several other films later. He was married and is survived by his wife and two children.
A few months back he was spotted working at a Tiffen shop in KK Nagar and media reports gave the impression that the actor was suffering in poverty. In an interview to a popular Tamil weekly the actor has denied the reports and stated that he loves cooking and enjoys working in the shop.
But later Ganesan once again stated to the media that he was in fact in poverty and sought help from celebrities including Thala Ajith and also shared that Vijay Sethupathi is like a brother to him who helped him out on many occasions.
