'Petta' actor changes wedding plans due to coronavirus pandemic

Owing to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in all the states in India many celebrities and the public are forced to alter their plans including wedding and other functions. Actor Manikandan Achari is set to marry Anjali on April 26 but has decided to have no celebrations and plans for a simple wedding in the presence of very close family members.
"Only our very close relatives and friends will attend the wedding. My fiance Anjali and her relatives also supported this decision. As the wedding was fixed earlier, celebrities from the film industry were also invited. But as the situation has changed now. I believe, being a responsible citizen I am obliged to cancel the grand function and have a simple wedding for the safety of all," said Manikandan in an interview with a popular news channel.
Manikandan Achari a popular actor in Malayalam cinema made his Tamil debut in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Petta' directed by Karthik Subbaraj and his next Malayalam release is 'Thuramukam' starring Nivin Pauly.
