Arya questioned by police on shocking complaint lodged by woman

Arya is professionally on a high as two of his recent films ‘Teddy’ and ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’ have registered record views on OTT platforms and he has been lauded for his performances.

Meanwhile, the handsome hunk had to appear before the cybercrime wing of the Chennai City Police in connection with a complaint lodged by a woman.  As reported by us earlier one Vidja a Sri Lankan living in Germany a year ago made shocking allegations that Arya cheated her of 70 lakhs rupees which he procured from her by promising to marry her.

Vidja had further claimed that when Arya got married to Sayyeshaa in 2019 and she questioned him, he had told her that he agreed for the alliance because Sayeshaa’s parents promised to settle all his debts.  She added that the popular hero assured her that he would divorce his wife and get married to her within six months.

The cybercrime wing inspector of police, Geetha questioned Arya over the allegations for around three hours on Tuesday evening and recorded his statement.  The details of the next course of action by the police will be known soon.
